Hi,

That's kinda weird, I should have access to the control panel for my network with this account, however I'm stuck on the login page of the control panel.

If I put a wrong password I get a Error: Invalid login or password error, however if I put the right password, I just get back to the login page, without any error message or anything.

This is quite annoying, as I have some things to update there Surprised

You're not the only one. I think even Jason said he had trouble with it too.

Okay.

I had a look using curl (command line). I'm getting authentificated by the "login.php" script, then redirected to the control panel home.

There, the page seems to be unable to find my login in the session, even if I force the cookie, clean up cookies before logging in, etc...

I guess there's a bug somewhere. It was already happening 12 hours ago, I waited a bit thinking it would be fixed before trying again and submitting a message here.

(btw I tested with a new account too, just to see if it was the problem)

In this post, Jason has mentioned that he is investigating why the control panel is currently a no-go.

Additionally, the irc quotes part of this site has lost multibyte/UTF-8 support (if I remember rightly, Jason, didn't you mention at one point or another that with the OS upgrade you also ended up upgrading PHP/MySQL? If that is the case, I think the problem with control panel logins may relate to character collation/codepages - just a thought)

Could be nice to add a notice on the login page while the problem is not fixed.

That would avoid people coming here asking (like me). Smile

It's got my full attention now. Looking into it and will post back when it's fixed.

And yes, the upgrade included new mysql - and the db was loaded from a dump, so all the indexes were generated fresh.

And with the import of the mysqldump file, was character support preserved?

More time, I guess

Only Jason can answer this. I don't think this problem would need more than one hour to be fixed, but you need to have one hour of spare time to fix it.

Yes, I'm aware of the issue and need to fix it, but I have a few things going on.

to name a few:

1. I am in the process of changing jobs.
2. I am preparing a court case
3. I just built a new server for these sites
4. I started a new website
5. I upgraded the OS and all the software is now different
6. We are having severe issues with the robots updating the channel database. This is causing lockups.

I've been spending most of my free time trying to resolve #6, since if the robots aren't updating, this site has no value. Meanwhile it's locking up a lot of stuff and causing issues.

I looked at this issue a bit the other day, and I don't think it's a session issue, I think it is going to be a trivial thing to fix, it just takes time to look at it and debug.

You really are busy. Hopefully you can find time to fix it.
