Possibly because you violated the forum rules located at http://searchirc.com/forum-rules.php

Specifically this one (I highlighted in bold some of the words that may refer to the reason):

No naming names

This site isn't here for you to complain about others. No one cares if someone flooded your channel. If you have something constructive to say (such as how to prevent an attack), feel free to post, but don't post nicknames, real names or ip addresses.

it was removed because it looked like spam.

"Oh hi. I thought I saw someone yesterday driving a black mustang. IF you're that person, come visit me at my IRC server at my IRC server at address /server irc.myserver.whatever! Yeah, visit me now."

Perhaps you can try again, asking them to PM you .. instead of asking them to join your server.

Just a thought.

Ahh ok. So just to clarify things (hate to get off topic), it's actually ok to post nicknames if its not posting to destroy their reputation, or bashing them? We can post nicknames if we're looking for someone or complimenting someone? Just wanted to be clear on where we stand with nickname posting..

"I saw someone the other day who used the nickname "<insert nick>", if you're that person can you pm me?"
or
"Hey, I just wanted to compliment "<insert nick>". I've had the pleasure of working with him/her, and he's one of the most respectful, reliable people I've ever met. I would recommend him if any networks are looking for help."

Is that ok to put their nickname in posts like that?

The rules are guidelines to try to dictate common sense.

Like it says, saying 'jimbob flooded me!' doesn't do anything for anyone. Posting his IP doesn't do anything either.

You can say jimbob was helpful at debugging an issue with an eggdrop if you wanted, but if you started with 'jimbob helped me with my eggdrop at irc.whatever.whatever, what a great place to go for help with eggdrops', it will likely be deleted as spam.
