Greetings!
The SleisySoft IRC Network, founded in August 2008, which started on a shared IRCd shell, and since then upgraded to VPS is currently searching for a link to replace one of our primary leaf servers, preferrably located on the west coast of the USA, but any location is fine. Unfortunately, the server had to be let go due to connection/network instability. Currently, the network consists of a server located in New Jersey, the Services, and a HUB server, and approximately 7-10 users and still growing!
SleisySoft is utilizing the Nefarious 1.2.0 IRCd, and the X3 1.6 services package combination, so experience with those are preferred, but if not, training will be provided. The admin should be interested in quality over quantity, in the sense that we would much rather have 3 very friendly, mature users than 300 very mean and rude users. The server admin should also be friendly and well behaved, especially with nearly identical goals in mind as the SleisySoft IRC Network, which is to allow much more freedom to the users than most networks. One of our theories is, if it isn't illegal/against the law (hacking, etc..), or isn't harming anyone else, then it isn't a violation of our TOS (Terms of Service).
The server should meet some of the following requirements: Ability to run Nefarious 1.2.0, and at least 600 users, with a very stable uptime (both network uptime, and server uptime). The server admin should also have the ability and knowledge of keeping the machine secure and updated, or at least someone else that can do so. It is preferred that you have a VPS or Dedicated Server, but a very stable, secure shell could be used.
For more details, or if you are interested in joining a very dedicated network, that will become successful in the near future, feel free to reply here, or visit irc.sleisysoft.net and join #SleisySoft and look for DarkWarrior, and I thank you in advance for your time and consideration, and I look forward to working with you. |
